Shopi is an initiative from the Fachhochschulen in Mainz (Art School), it is a competition which was held for the second year in 2005. The only thing that was given was the size, the number of pages and the theme: Shopping. Here you can see the two books I made. One shows ‘shopping’ as a product that everyone uses. A cynical way of showing what shopping does to us.

The other book is also a bit cynical, about how shopping is part of your life. I thought to myself: why do I buy? There was an exhibition in Mainz were one of the books was shown.
